OrionNet Systems has received
numerous commendations and positive reviews from their clients for how they
handled the ICD-10 transition.
“We couldn’t be happier with
how well the transition has been going,” said Clyde Wafford, president of OrionNet
Systems. “We’ve received a lot of positive feedback from our clients. It’s
great to know that our hard work paid off.”
If you aren’t completely
familiar with the switch, October 1 was the official date to switch to the
ICD-10 coding system for diagnoses, for billing and claims. The International
Classification of Diseases (ICD) was developed by the World Health Organization
(WHO) and is used to report medical diagnoses and inpatient procedures. All
entities covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
(HIPAA) of 1996 are required to use the ICD coding system for all billing and
claims – this includes payers, provider organizations, and hospitals. The United States
has been in the process of switching from the ICD-9 classification system to
the newer tenth version of the ICD for the past few years – with many problems
along the way.
One of OrionNet Systems’
clients had this to say, “I checked my claim…and it's perfect. Again, thanks to
your wonderful staff for making this so easy.”
There were also many comments
from clients saying that they [OrionNet Systems] saved them a bunch of time and
money.
OrionNet Systems is still
offering one-on-one ICD-10 assistance sessions with their support team for
their clients.
“We are willing to help out
any one of our clients that need it,” said Clyde Wafford. “As a company and
individuals, we are dedicated to making sure that the behavioral health and
substance abuse industry in the United
States is the best that we can make it.”
