The House bill 1437 that talks about the termination of the Behavioral health licensure board. It seems that they have amended the Termination date from July 1 2019 to July 1, 2020. Below is an excerpt of the bill that amended the date.

 Not this will go back to committee and it could come back out with a date of 2019.  We hope that it comes out with the original date of 2025 or longer.  Obviously, if they end the state board then it would be very bad for everyone.  Many insurances might stop paying for services you render because there is not board to certify your licenses. 

 I urgently suggest everyone contact all the House and Senate members to tell them how bad this would be for you and Oklahoma.  One of my other members sent this as a good thing to send out and talk to the senate about:

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

SECTION 1.     AMENDATORY     Section 4, Chapter 229, O.S.L.

2013 (59 O.S. Supp. 2018, Section 6001), is amended to read as

follows:

Section 6001.  A.  1.  There is hereby created the State Board

of Behavioral Health Licensure to continue until July 1, 2019 2020,

in accordance with the provisions of the Oklahoma Sunset Law.

2.  Members of the Board shall serve at the pleasure of and may

be removed from office by the appointing authority.  Members shall

continue to serve until their successors are appointed.
